🔥Day 1/Wednesday—🔥“Hurry Up”

Quite the roller coaster of emotions. As I said goodbye to each of my family members, my emotions got the best of me. But as soon as I stopped and tried to sit in this tender moment all I heard was, “HURRY UP!” 

    Imagine that. One of the most loving moments you may ever share with your family stripped away because of time. 😮‍💨
   Stressed out, anxious, and HOT. A newly fresh, yet sweaty Elder Te’o walked into the MTC

*Enter Elder Te'o*
    
     I’m so thrown off.
🧠: “My bags are too heavy for Elder Coward (my helper and guide for the day) to carry.” “Wipe your tears, you're embarrassing yourself. BE A MAN!” “I'm so hot in this suit, my shirt is getting wet!” 
   
     *After picking up his assigned tools, Elder Te’o sees his companion irl*

🧠: “Oh snap! He’s taller than me.” “I want to go talk to him but I'm in the back of the line” “WHY IS THIS SUIT SO HOT!” 
     Some worker lady let me cut the line and go to them. When it was my turn to enter, I was recieved by a man in a gray suit.

G.S🤵:Elder Te’o! 😄 Welcome to the MTC!
Do you see that large painting of Jesus and His disciples? Do you understand you now hold the SAME authority as Peter, James and John…All of them. To preach Christ's gospel?
Me👔:Sure Dude😎……(Just kidding I was respectful)
G.S🤵:I need you to realize, this mission is not tradition. It is not something we do, because your father did it and so on. We do it to preach the gospel. The authority you have is so sacred. Will you use it correctly?
🧠:Wow this guy's pretty good, who is he? Oh look, a name tag!
👔:Yes I will. OH SHOOT, YOU'RE THE MTC PRESIDENT!
 
*Pres and Elder hug. Pres showers Elder with compliments describing his -Maturity -Smile -Personality.*
*Another worker cuts in and says, “Lay off the Steroids! ☝️🤓”*

I finally met my companions and district and other missionaries from zoom. We were all excited to finally meet and see each other as we truly are. Day 1

I understand I use slang a lot, but while being here I have been trying to cut down on it to maintain my missionary standards.
